Jesus not only meets our every need, He satisfies every intention of God. In Him is the fullness of God. Jesus is Everything! For the month of April, we’ll focus on just a few of the roles which Jesus plays in God’s plan to reconcile His creation to Himself.
In this lesson we consider the rule of Christ as the Messianic King. Jesus is, in fact, a king. He is not, however, the king people expected then or that people want now. His kingdom is not of this world. It is not political, geographic or material. Jesus rules in righteousness, justice and equity. He brings peace, protection and prosperity to His people, not in the material, but in the spiritual sense.
By His person and power He possesses all authority to rule and judge. He rules His willing subjects and judges the world that rejects Him. Our benevolent King serves, delivers and blesses His people.
