In Philippians 4, the apostle Paul writes about the idea of the peace of God, “which surpasses all understanding,” which will guard your hearts in Christ. He adds that the God of peace will be with you if follow the example that Paul set among the brethren. We see two similar statements here, relating God and the peace which He brings.
Faithful discipleship should be a life of joy and peace, even though Christians must suffer the things of this world along with everybody else, in addition to the strains and pressures that following the Lord may bring. How them can we enjoy the Peace of God and have the God of Peace?
