There is only one church described in the New Testament.  When compared to the diversity and controversy in modern christian religion, one can have a hard time reconciling the two. But, can there be only one true church?

Rather than dealing with the problem by starting with the 21st century condition and work backwards, we should start with the New Testament record and work forward. The church of Christ is simply the church belonging to Christ. It is His. He built it. He saved it. He rules it.

While the Bible describes one church, it also refers to many churches in many locations. Did they all teach, believe and practice the same things?  Is it possible to follow the same pattern today? In this lesson, we will explore these and other questions regarding the church, and how we can still recognize it today through God’s word.
